How much does academic editing cost?
Academic editing starts at $22 per 1,000 words with 7-day turnaround, and proofreading at $14. Faster turnaround and substantive editing cost more. The calculator above gives an instant estimate.
How much does it cost to proofread a dissertation?
Multiply your word count by the proofreading rate for your turnaround. A 15,000-word master’s dissertation at the 7-day rate comes to about $210. Send the file for an exact quote, because tables, references and technical content can change the time needed.
Do you charge for the reference list?
If you only need the main text edited, tell us and we will leave the reference list out of the word count. Checking references against APA 7 or another style is a separate formatting task and priced accordingly.
